ReStore Truck Driver 

Primary Role: The ReStore Truck Driver is responsible for the safe pick-up, transfer, and loading and unloading of donated items to the ReStore while providing excellent customer service.

General Responsibilities: Safety and team work are emphasized while moving product on the road and on the Restore property. When not on the road the Truck Driver is a member of the processing and merchandising team. They also must be available to provide excellent customer service and assist customers with carryout of purchases. They should have a good understanding of the mission of Habitat South Sarasota and be compliant to all policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities: Organize, review, and document all pick-up paperwork. Fill out truck safety checklist each morning prior to leaving for daily pick-ups. Professionally greet donors and inspect donations prior to loading. Be aware of the current items we accept. Excellent customer service is a high priority. Call manager on duty if item is in question. Safely lift heavy items using the proper equipment provided. Safe measures include, but are not limited to, the use of hand trucks, dollies, back support belts, gloves, safety goggles and the assistance of additional help. Offer tax receipt to donor, assist in filling the form out and thank donor for their support of Habitat for Humanity.

Skills and Personal Characteristics: Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and manage multiple work activities. Attention to detail and overall quality control. Strong interpersonal skills, dealing well with a variety of people, personalities and backgrounds. Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills. Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods at a time.

Education and Experience: Experience in professional truck driving preferred. Background check required.

Restore Team Lead

Primary Role:  The ReStore Team Lead is responsible for leadership of all ReStore staff members and volunteers while providing excellent customer service. Team leads are expected to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff, volunteers, and customers of The ReStore.

General Responsibilities: Safety and team work are emphasized throughout the Restore property. Responsible for all ReStore processes including facilitation of donations, and the merchandising, pricing, and sales of goods.  Team Leads must have an understanding of the mission of Habitat South Sarasota and ensure staff compliance to all policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities: A ReStore Team Lead must professionally direct, develop, and support all staff members. Team Leads must have competency to execute all ReStore roles and be committed to the productivity of the entire team. Team leads are empowered to make necessary decisions to facilitate customer satisfaction and support the enforcement of all organizational policies. Excellent customer service is a high priority. A ReStore Team Lead will be considered a manager on duty in the absence of the ReStore director. Team leads will be delegated responsibility for managing specific areas of operations of the ReStore and may be held accountable for operational deficiencies.

 

Skills and Personal Characteristics:  Must possess the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and manage multiple work activities. Attention to detail and overall quality control is expected. Strong interpersonal skills, dealing well with a variety of people, personalities and backgrounds. Team leads will recognize good performance and address poor performance appropriately with the support of the ReStore Director.  Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills. A Team Lead must demonstrate the physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods at a time.

Education and Experience:  High school diploma, customer service and leadership experience is preferred.  Background check required.

Performance Indicators: Overall performance of The ReStore Team in areas of delegated responsibility is a key performance indicator.  Must demonstrate initiative of taking independent action in handling of situational elements regarding team performance. Must demonstrate the ability to lead team members and positively impact ReStore revenues through donations and sales initiatives.

Reports to:  Restore Director

Employment Status:  Full Time hourly position at 40 hours + per week, including Saturdays.

Salary:  Competitive pay and benefits package.  Starting hourly rate is $14.
