Since 1992, Habitat South Sarasota has been breaking biases to empower women in creating a gender-equal world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive.
Women Build is an opportunity for all genders to come together to build stronger, safer communities. Spend time working alongside other volunteers, Habitat partner families and staff as you build a home that will be purchased with an affordable mortgage by an income-qualified family. You'll have fun learning new skills at this gender-inclusive event.

Kids Cottages
Earlier this year, Women Build came at a time when construction on homes was at a lull. Instead of home build sites, we built Cottages for Kids. These cottages were placed in a lottery drawing for our partner families. Wellen Park built some that were displayed in Downtown Wellen Park.

Habitat for Humanity Cottages build was a fun and unique way to support our mission, It was an opportunity to come together to build stronger, safer communities. Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages.
