For the seventh consecutive year, Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County is the recipient of a $5,000 grant from State Farm to help build affordable homes in South Sarasota County.
“We are thrilled to partner with State Farm again this year.” said Christina McCauley, CEO of Habitat SSC. “State Farm has been a reliable donor, volunteer, and supporter of Habitat for many years.”
Habitat and State Farm have built a partnership with the common goal to build safer, stronger, better educated communities. Through community development grants and volunteerism, State Farm reinvests in the communities they serve as a way of giving back and helping to strengthen neighborhoods. The State Farm’s Good Neighbor Grants focus on three areas: safety, education, and community development.
“State Farm is proud of our relationship with Habitat for Humanity of South Sarasota” said Jose Soto, State Farm Corporate Responsibility Analyst. “Habitat is helping families build affordable homes to call their own.”
Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County, Inc. operates as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat SSC has made great strides towards its mission to build safe, affordable housing for those in need in south Sarasota County. Without the help of charitable sponsors, like State Farm, Habitat SSC could not accomplish their goal of providing safe, affordable, energy efficient homes.
